Nathaniel Bassey is a popular gospel musician, trumpeter, singer, songwriter and instrumentalist. He was born on August 27th in the year 1978,  as the fourth child in a family of seven. Bassey grew up playing instruments, especially the trumpet at a young age.

His father, Mr E Joshua Bassey, was a pastor in The Apostolic Church Bashua Assembly. Nathaniel  is an alumnus of the University of Lagos..

Additionally, Nathaniel started his musical career in church, playing trumpet with the Rhodes Orchestra for two years. Being explicitly talented, he composed a song that was presented during Stella Obasanjo’s (the late wife of former President Olusegun Obasanjo) visit to his church at RCCG, City of David Parish.

In 2010, Nathaniel released his first album titled “Someone is at the door,” which was well-received and since after then, he has been consistent with releasing awesome tracks and songs that go a long way to blessing lives and turning people to God.

Over the years, he has established himself as one of the most prominent and sort-after gospel minister in Nigeria and even globally. His music spans across different genres such as worship, hymns, and medleys, and he is known for his unique trumpet sounds.

Apart from his music career, Nathaniel is also a pastor and the founder of the “Halleluyah Challenge,” a regular gathering of worshippers from around the world. The program is physically held in Lagos State, Nigeria, and globally held online on several social media platforms. Miracles and testimonies always abound during and after the program.
